Frequently asked questions
Quick answers. Still have a question? Use the chat in the corner or call the office.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes. Both Jason and Janet are accepting new clients for in-person sessions in Charlotte and video sessions anywhere in North Carolina.
How do I book?
Use the Book a Session page to pick your clinician and a time, or call 1-866-464-0366 any time and we'll book it for you.
Do you offer a free consultation?
We don't offer consultation calls. Your first appointment is a full 45-minute session where we talk through what's going on and make a plan together. If you have questions first, the chat on this site or the office line can answer most of them.
How long is a session?
Sessions are 45 minutes.
Do you take my insurance?
We're in network with UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and MedCost, and we work with most EAPs including MYgroup, Workplace Options, Optum EAP, and ComPsych. We verify your benefits before your first session. See all rates.
What if I don't have insurance?
Self-pay is $175 for individual sessions and $225 for couples, with a sliding scale available. We also accept HSA/FSA cards.
Do you see teens?
Yes. Jason works with teens; a parent or guardian completes the intake packet and consent.
Can I do sessions by video?
Yes. Every service is available by secure Zoom video as long as you're in North Carolina and somewhere private. No app is required.
Where is the office?
5500 Executive Center Drive, Suite 214, Charlotte, NC 28206.
What are your hours?
Jason sees clients Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm. Janet sees clients Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The front desk takes calls any time.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead. A $75 fee applies to late cancellations and no-shows, except where your insurance plan prohibits it. There is a 10-minute grace period.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Our clinicians provide counseling and assessments. We can coordinate with your prescriber or help you find one.
What is a DOT SAP evaluation?
If you failed or refused a DOT drug or alcohol test, you must complete an evaluation with a qualified Substance Abuse Professional before returning to safety-sensitive work. Jason Levine is DOT-qualified. Learn about the process.
Do you provide CCAs for agencies?
Yes. Jason provides Comprehensive Clinical Assessments and Person-Centered Plans for agencies across North Carolina. Submit a referral here.
Is everything confidential?
Yes. What you share in session stays between you and your clinician, with the standard legal exceptions your clinician will explain in the first session. Please don't send health information by email; use the secure intake packet.
What if I'm in crisis right now?
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. You can call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time. The office line is not monitored for emergencies.

Ready to take the first step?
Booking takes about two minutes. Pick a clinician, choose video or in person, and we'll handle the rest.
