Not emergency care

This website and our phone and text lines are not for emergencies. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. You can call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time.

No clinician relationship through the website

Information on this site is general and is not a substitute for care from a licensed clinician. A clinical relationship begins only when you complete intake and attend a first session.

Text messaging program

Serenity Counseling of the Carolinas, PLLC sends text messages for appointment confirmations, reminders, booking and intake links, and replies to questions you send us. You opt in by giving your number and consent to our office by phone, on the website, or in the intake packet. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts and HELP for help, or call 1-866-464-0366. Texts are not monitored for emergencies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Appointments

Online booking is handled by Calendly. Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead; a $75 fee applies to late cancellations and no-shows except where prohibited by your insurance plan, with a 10-minute grace period. After three no-shows, clients are discharged from services.

Payment

Self-pay rates are listed on the Insurance & Rates page. Insurance benefits are verified before the first session; your plan makes the final determination when the claim is processed.
