By phone. When you call our office, our front-desk assistant may ask: “Would you like me to text you the booking link? By saying yes you agree to receive texts from Serenity Counseling of the Carolinas at this number. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out.” We text you only if you say yes, and the first text confirms your opt-in.
In the intake packet. The secure new-client intake paperwork includes an unchecked box: “I agree to receive appointment reminders and office messages by text from Serenity Counseling of the Carolinas. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.”
What you will receive
Appointment confirmations and reminders, your booking link, the secure intake paperwork link, directions to the office, and replies to questions you text or ask us by phone. Nothing promotional. Messages are one-to-one and low volume.
Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts; you will get one confirmation and nothing more. Reply HELP for help, call 1-866-464-0366, or email info@serenitycounselingnc.com. Texts are not monitored for emergencies — if you are in danger, call 911 or call/text 988.
